My WebQuest

WebQuests are a great way to sneak in a lesson while kids think they are playing around on the computer, and with all the great sites designed to help with the format, WebQuests couldn't be easier to create.  While I teach kindergarten, we generally spend the better part of the year teaching our students how to log on and off, simply keyboard and mouse skills, and simple use skills.  Many of our students have never had an opportunity to use a computer before so we must start from the beginning, and with limited computer lab time, this process takes a while.  So, I chose to create a WebQuest for fourth grade.  Our fourth grade students always love to come to the kindergarten classrooms to read, perform skits, and share information. It is my intention to have the fourth grade students share their findings with my students as part of our preparation for our zoo field trip.  Here is my link; let me know what you think:

  1. Great idea! to have 4th graders to present to your kindergarteners the info about the animals. Curriculum overlaps so why not share the learning experiences - WE ALL LEARN!

  2. The lesson was very interesting because the images that were used supported the lesson and severity of the children's attention.
